Airport to Laganas
Zante International Airport (ZTH) is about 7 km from Laganas, a transfer of roughly 9 to 15 minutes depending on traffic.[1][3]
- Pre-booked transfer: described as probably the most convenient way to reach a resort like Laganas.[2] Trick Zante's package includes airport transfers.
- Taxi: around €25 to Laganas, available 24 hours a day. Official taxis are silver or grey and use set prices.[2]
- Bus: there is no direct airport bus to Laganas. The KTEL airport bus goes to Zakynthos Town (about €2.20) and you then change, but airport buses run on weekdays only, with none on Saturdays or Sundays.[2]
Getting home from the strip
Use the main taxi rank and agree the fare before you leave. Avoid dark backstreets and isolated beach routes, especially alone, and do not accept random street lifts.[4] Keep enough money aside for the taxi.
Walking
The strip is a single street of bars and clubs, so if you stay nearby you can walk to most of it.[5] Wear secure shoes, as the strip can have spilled drinks and broken glass.[4]
Quads and boats
If you are thinking of hiring a quad or a boat, read quad bikes and mopeds and speedboats and boat hire first.
