The short version
The main season runs from about May to September. July and August are the hottest and busiest months, while May, June and September are milder with a less intense atmosphere.[1] Late May is the start of the season: boat party schedules typically begin then, and peak in July and August.[2]

When the nights start
On the strip, things usually start around 10pm and wind down about 6am. Some regular nights are seasonal: a Saturday club night at Zeros runs from June to mid August, and a Sunday bar crawl runs from June to mid September.[5] That is why early season, including late May, is quieter than July and August.
Turtles
Loggerhead turtles nest on the beach in July and August.[6]
Why go in late May
Opening week gives you the start of the season with warm days and less heat than midsummer. Some venues hold opening parties, which is what Trick Zante's three opening parties are. Exact dates and line-ups are set by the organisers each season, so check closer to the time.
